Transept Architecture Inc. is an architectural firm providing full services for a variety of clients. We are the former Woods Parker Architects firm, renamed Transept Architecture in 2012.

Tim Visser has over 30 years of experience as an architect in Calgary.  Although our specialty has been serving church and non-profit clients, we accommodate a number of commercial, retail, medical, institutional, industrial and multi-family residential projects in Alberta as well. We welcome a variety of work and enjoy providing design solutions.

In the traditional cathedrals the “transept” was the place where the north to south aisle intersected with the east to west aisle.  Transept is a church word and an architectural word.   A transept refers to the intersection of two things.  In the case of our firm, we emphasize the intersection of ideas meeting form.

The Client-architect relationship is our number one priority. Our approach is focused on getting to know each group and creating strong relationships. We promote a participatory process that generates a broad sense of ownership in the project by developing a common vision and establishing an overwhelming consensus within the client group. We value collaboration, intersecting our expertise with client ideas.
